Life is like a wagon, and we’re tied to it.
We can either run alongside it as it rolls along, or we can sit still, resist it, and get dragged behind.
The wagon doesn’t care about us. It’s unaffected by what we do.
It keeps moving no matter what. Whether we run beside it or get dragged along, the wagon keeps going.
So, the best way to live is to run beside it, accepting the difficulties, the hardships, the confrontations, the things not going your way, the losses, the failures—because all of these are part of the journey.
You’ve got to move with all of it.
You’ve got to face it all.
You’ve got to engage with it all in order to live by your principles, to maintain integrity, and to be satisfied with yourself as a person.
While I don’t think you can be satisfied with life for long periods, I do believe you can become a person you're satisfied with. However, this is an ongoing maintenance. You have to keep running with the wagon.
