Few people admit to being people-pleasers, and even those who do take pride in it as if it's a good thing to be. In this video, I define what it means to be a people-pleaser, what beliefs define this disorder, and why it's certainly not a good thing to be!
If you've had a string of superficial relationships, or you're treated poorly at work, or you were bullied as a child, and yet you've always been a "good" person who is "nice" to others and is afraid or avoidant of confrontations, you might be starting to ask yourself:
"Am I a people pleaser?"
What is people pleasing? In this video, I define what has come to be known as a legitimate disorder (sometimes referred to as Nice Guy Syndrome). We will talk about the behaviours, intentions and beliefs that identify someone who has people pleasing syndrome and what they can do differently to become more socially confident, authentic and connected.
