While BROJO does not fully embrace the principles of Ayn Rand's Objectivism philosophy, we do appreciate Ayn's depiction in her books of extreme ownership and self-responsibility. Ayn advocates self-respect above all else, and supposes that a meritocracy-based society would be best. Clearly skill (especially business skill) is not the only measure of a person's value to humanity, however the general principle of "create and give value" rather than "take value" is much appreciated.
